Terms of Service
Effective August 5, 2026
Who these terms cover
Videoster Inc. ("Videoster," "we"), a company registered in Canada, and anyone with a Videoster account — free or paid ("you").
What Videoster is
Videoster is a platform that gives video creators a public page with verified numbers, and connects them with brands looking to sponsor a video. Creators can also sell directly to their own audience through Storefront. We are the technology and matching platform — we are not a party to the commercial agreement a creator makes with a brand or with their own customers, beyond the specific payment and escrow mechanics described in these terms and in Escrow Terms.
Fees
Storefront — selling products, courses, memberships, bookings, or accepting tips through your own page — is 0% commission, always, on every plan. We never take a cut of what you sell to your own audience.
Brand deals are different. When a brand brief sent through Videoster becomes a signed deal, we charge a commission on that deal's agreed value: 9% under $2,000, 6% from $2,000–10,000, 4% from $10,000–50,000, and 3% above $50,000. This applies whether or not you subscribe, and only to deals Videoster itself sourced — work you bring in yourself, however it settles, is never commissioned.
The optional subscription is $25/month. It unlocks Storefront's full catalogue and the brand-deal workspace's additional tools; it does not change the commission rate above, and it is not required to use the free page, receive brand briefs, or negotiate a deal.
Verified data
Follower and platform numbers shown on your page come from each platform's own public API, not from anything you type in. Numbers you add yourself are kept and labeled separately, and are never displayed as if they were verified. Removing a connected platform stops future updates but doesn't retroactively alter historical figures a brand already saw.
Responsibility for the work
As between a creator and a brand, the creator is responsible for the content they produce and for meeting the scope both parties agreed to in the workspace; the brand is responsible for accurately describing what they're commissioning and for reviewing delivered work in good faith. Videoster provides the negotiation workspace, the contract record, and — where applicable — payment handling described in Escrow Terms. Videoster does not review, edit, or guarantee the quality of any creator's work or any brand's brief.
Ending your account
You can stop using Videoster at any time; there is no contract term and no retention call. Your free page stays up unless you request otherwise.
We may suspend or terminate an account for violating the acceptable-use rules below, for confirmed fraud, for repeated or abusive payment disputes, or as required by law. Where reasonably possible we will tell you why. Ending an account does not cancel a deal already signed and in progress, or reverse a commission already owed on a completed one.
Acceptable use
Don't use Videoster to misrepresent your audience numbers, impersonate another creator, or move a client payment outside the platform specifically to avoid a commission or escrow protection you'd otherwise be subject to.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the platform changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above; continued use after that date means you accept the update.
Written by us, not outside counsel
This document was written directly by Videoster, not drafted by an outside law firm. It is meant to state plainly and accurately what we actually do — see Escrow Terms in particular for exactly which countries the platform's payment-holding feature applies to.
